NOVEMBER SHOWS AND RECEPTIONS

Don’t forget to bring art work to the State Office Building show on November 1st.  This show will not be juried.  You can bring any work.  There will be a 20% commission paid to the Guild on any sale at this show.   We will start hanging the State Office Building show at 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M.

The Fall Show at the Bennett Martin Library, (two blocks north of the State Office Building) will be hung at 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.    This is LAG’s Juried Fall Show.   Hopefully, we will get both shows hung by noon and be ready for the judging of the Bennett Martin Library Show by 1:00.  Awards will be hung for this show before the reception from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

We will have two receptions on Friday, the 1st of November.   Lots of goodies will be needed.   The Reception at Out of the Box will run from 5:00 to 8:00 and the Bennett Martin from 6:00 to 8:00.  Don’t forget to bring Hors d’oeuvres and help set up for the guests.

GET READY, RENEW EARLY!!

It is that time of year again to be thinking about renewing your LAG Membership!  Dues are due January 2, 2014.

We need to renew early in January to get our count and information into the Association of Nebraska Art Clubs (ANAC).  This will help our ANAC Chairperson get the paperwork done before the deadline.  No last minute hurry-up jobs.  Therefore, the Board has voted to leave the membership dues at $40.00 if paid by January 31st.  Anytime after that date it will be $45.00 for a single membership (January-December) and $65.00 for couples (January-December).

Out of the Box October Reception a Success

You could not walk into Out of Box on Friday night Oct. 4th without knowing that there was an art reception.  Thank you to Will Rennick for bringing the pencil & basket, and for making the wonderful sign welcoming everyone.  Thanks also to Joyce Jacob for bringing the bouquet made with flowers and art supplies.   This was a great greeting to everyone attending the reception.    Thanks also goes out to Jody for all her help and the very interesting table decorations.  It was wonderful how our artists were there to talk about their work and about the Guild.  Thank you to everyone that helped make the first Reception at Out of the Box a success.
