February LAG Meeting

New year, new location, new challenges.  Our first meeting of the year will be held at our LAG Gallery location 2634 North 48th St. on the second Tuesday February 9th.    Public parking is in the rear and across the street west of the Mo Java coffee shop.  Enter on the west side of the gallery building, (look for our sign).  Meeting starts at 7:00 in the Tai Chi School area (officers meeting at 6:00).  We have several chairs, but if you want your own, feel free to bring it.  We hope that your shoes are free of rocks, etc. but a mat will be outside the room for you to remove shoes allowing you to put on another pair of clean shoes or non skid slippers or socks.

Feel free to arrive early and browse the gallery.  The program starts with mask decorating (bring your own light colored cloth masks)  Markers will be provided.  If you would like to decorate a paper template and create your mask at home, fell free to do so (templates available).  Bring your completed masks back in March for a “show and tell”.  During the mask making session, we will answer any and all questions.  We will have everyone spaced apart in chairs.  You will of course need to wear a mask for the evening.

If you know someone who might be thinking of joining the Guild, encourage them to do so soon, we wish to print a new membership book in March.  Remind them that joining the Guild allows them to be part of the gallery experience along with participating in various local art shows.  If they join before March 1st they also become a member of ANAC (Association of Nebraska Art Clubs) which holds their 2021 convention in Fremont in June.
