Our LAG treasurer is having to give up the position and we need someone to pick up her spot.  This involves taking in membership monies, paying submitted bills, and paying out monies to winners of the Spring and Fall shows.  You will not have to do anything with the gallery as we are closing the end of October.  Our present treasurer, Gretchen Olberding will work with you in making the transition, she won’t dump and run.  Please let Carmen (402 641 6233} know if you can pick up this role.

Tuesday September 13, the evening’s program is our annual “Critique”.  Bring one or two pieces that you are working on or have completed.  As a group we will discuss ways to really put the “zing” into your work.

We are getting close to our main event, the “Fall Show”.  We will be having a month long show at the LUX Center for the Arts during October.  Hanging day is on Thursday September 29.  Please drop off your work between 12 and 2.

Pickup day is Thursday October 27

Items of Note:

• entry form (at bottom of this newsletter) and entry money ($10 per piece) must be mailed to Carmen by Saturday September 24.  You may also email me your entry and bring the money the day of hanging.  We will not accept entries after the deadline of the 24th.
• name and title must be securely attached to the back of the piece
• may enter up to three pieces, two or three dimensional
• must have a wire hanger, not a saw tooth
• work must be original
• work must have been done in the last two years AND may not have been hung in a previous Fall or Spring Show
• work must hang for the duration of the show, if a piece is purchased, the buyer is to be made aware that they can not pick up the work till the end of the show month (October 27)

September mini show is “One color plus tints and shades”.  In other words, monochromatic.
