Next meeting is Tuesday May 9th at 7:00 at Tai Chi Studio.  Kirk will lead the program using ink blobs to stretch your imagination and creativity.  We will also have a summery of the Trinity Art Festival and further information about the Seward Summer Art Show.

Plans are coming along for the festival on Saturday May 6th.  LAG is providing a wonderful opportunity for our artists to have a place to display and sell their art work.  For the ten artists that are participating you are required to help in some way.  Setting up the booth on Friday evening, taking down the booth Saturday at the end of the festival, and/or working during the day greeting visitors and promoting the guild.  Mandatory also is the creation of cards labeling each of your pieces.  These are to all be the same, please follow the criteria:

Cardstock / 2.5″ x 1.5″ / typed / Title of Work-Artist’s Name-Price

If non participating members of the Guild wish to help out, that would be wonderful.  This will give you an idea for next year (looks like this will become an annual thing) and also it is just a way to help your organization out.  Should be a fun day. I got my newsletter from ANAC so I assume everyone else got theirs.  Looks like some wonderful workshops as usual.  One explanation about your registration……they unfortunantly forgot to include the noon meal sign-ups.  When you sign up, please include a note and appropriate money addition to your check.  Thursday lunch is Mexican Buffer / Taco Bar for $11, Thursday Evening Banquet is Italian Buffet for $11, Friday Lunch is Chef Salad for $11.50, and Saturday lunch is on your own.  These will be on campus at the Student Center Dining room.  You only have an hour, so having this close rather than running into town is a great time-saver.

Artist Trading Cards were on display and traded at our April meeting.  Four members brought in cards to trade, thank you Carmen, Reida, Kathy and Wanda  We will repeat the trading at our June meeting.  Everyone is encouraged to bring in as few or as many that you wish to trade with fellow artists.

Rules:

1. must be on paper stronger that simple typing paper

2. size is 2 1/2 ” x 3 1/2 ”

3. must have name and date on the back of card
