June LAG Meeting Activities

We are excited to hear about a non-profit art program called ArtReach Project. Tamara Kaye, the director of Lincoln’s ArtReach Project, will present about the program and share about many program activities in Lincoln. The Project addresses the need for expressive opportunities by offering projects & programs that creatively engage individuals in all ages and stages of life, with a focus on youth. The ArtReach Project strives to make arts accessible to all regardless of social and economic status. https://artreachproject.org/

July 2 Karissa Veith (Bettendorf) Illustration and Children’s Book Publishing Karissa Veith is owner and designer of Karis Fine Arts. She produces watercolor and book illustration and will share her artwork and answer questions about book publishing.

ANAC Media Pickup

Pickup of all art work destined for the ANAC Convention will be picked up on Thursday June 13 at 10:00 in the Michaels lot on 48th and R street (right north of Out of the Box). I will park in the south west corner of the lot in a purple Buick.  If you cannot make that date and time, contact me and we will make special arrangements.  Carmen Stineman, 402 641 6233

September Car Show

Just a reminder of the Car Show coming up in September.  We will again have a booth, both for showcasing our work, and providing activities, such as face painting, caricatures, etc.

Theme:  Explosion of Color

Hanging Date:  Friday May 31

Meet for ride shares and art hand off:  Sam’s Parking Lot, north 27th St, northwest corner across from gas station

Time:  10:00 a.m.

Bring Work:  that morning OR find someone that is going, that will bring your work
