Great September Program

The September program presented by Julie A. Childers was extremely helpful “You Booked a Show-Now What?” was the theme. Julie C. had many wonderful tips on what to do once you book a show whether it would be with a non-profit or a for-profit gallery. She also gave a great demonstration on how to properly wire your framed or unframed art. Several members wired art they brought! Many thanks to Julie C. sharing her experience about preparing for gallery shows.

Thank You, Missing LAG Already

Thank you to all of LAG!! Thank you for the thoughtfulness during our Sept. meeting. The cake, cards, gifts and kind words were so appreciated! The Precious Moments figurine is so awesome!!!

My heart has been for the purpose of LAG…helping each other grow and learn through the opportunities the guild has to offer. It has been a place of growth for me, too. I never thought I would become someone that could lead such an awesome group of people. Then, top if off with leading ANAC, because of the opportunity I had with LAG. That is what LAG is…the members that help each other learn and experience new things in art. I have always thought of LAG as a living legend of Lincoln. Wow, LAG is 96 years old and needs to make it to 100!! You all better celebrate for sure in 2020!!! Keep me posted!!

I will miss all of you! My heart will continue to be with you!!
Blessings,
Julie Lemons

FEATURED ARTIST

If you are the featured artist for an up-coming month, make sure you follow the procedure set for any of our shows.   The art will have to be hung during the hours of 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on a week day.  You must have members of the Out of the Box hang the art for you.   The artwork is usually hung the Thursday before the 4th Friday Reception, but if you cannot make it during the week, it will have to be done on the Saturday before, but only after you have made arrangements with a member of the Out of the Box Committee.

Nominating Committee

We are asking for volunteers to be on this committee and help find the members to fill the open Officers’ and Committees’ positions. If you are on a committee at the current time and plan to stay for 2017, please let Jan Blank know. If you would like to shadow the current member on a position to decide if it would work for you, just let that person know. If you know of someone you would like to see on a committee or be one of the officers, please nominate them. The President has stated that it might be necessary to appoint members.   Let’s make it easy and volunteer for these positions.

Please let Jan Blank hear from you.
