April Regular Meeting

Notes from the meeting:
No Secretary or Treasurers Report

New Business
LAG no longer has a PO Box. Please use the address of officers.

Some members have not received their Newsletters. They are to report if they did not receive them and how long it took to get them.

Discussion was held on whether we wanted to have refreshments at meeting.  Most of members vetoed this.  It was suggested we have drinks available. Water or coffee or members could bring their own.

Spring Show – Donna encouraged members to enter their work in this show including 3-D work as we have several places to display them at the gallery. You may bring up to five entries to show. Entry fee for each item is $5.  Bring to Out of the Box May 1, beginning at 8 AM.

Paintings at Lincoln City Library– These paintings are from former members who let their paintings be loaned out by the library.  The library no longer offers this service.  We will try to find the owners of these paintings and if they are not located it was suggested we add them to our gallery or possibly send them to Kearney if they are interested.

Out of the Box–   Sue Thelen is working on the schedule of music for the receptions.  NOTE: Be sure to let Marcia Claesson know what you are planning for open houses three weeks before the reception so she can get the information into the newspaper on time.   Change Date at OOB is from April 21 – 24.  Everything with be hung on Friday.  Ten paintings per member.  Let someone on the OOB committee know when you will be bringing your work. Please have everything on a new inventory sheet.   NOTE: Occasionally the owners of OOB are a little late in arriving. Suggested you wait until 10:30 if you are working that day or bringing things.

ANAC– Sue showed an example of the casing needed to send your work to ANAC safely. Suggested putting a picture of your work on the box so it is easier to find the carton when it is time to re-wrap and bring home. Return the top of form to Sue now.

Keith Larson explained what is wanted for the Art contest he is sponsoring. Due date is July 1.  Paintings will be hung at Bennett Martin Library. Preregister by June 15. Winner will be purchased if for sale. Contest will be judged by Dean Suttle, Michele Tilly and Keith Larson.

Will Rennick suggested he was willing to paint the pink room at gallery if club buys the paint. Will made motion and Sue T seconded. Motion passed.  It will be taken to the Steering committee to see if the time is right and club has money.

See Lisa Cassel for your membership book updates for 2014.
