The June meeting will be held, Tuesday June 14th at the LAG Gallery on north 48th street at 7:00 p.m.  Our program that night will be dealing with “Drawing” which is the foundation of a finished piece or a painting.

Wow! So many people stepped up to fill the gallery walls.  It looks the best it’s ever been.  Thank you to all who participated.  Several people signed up for the 6-month stretch and that is awesome.  There may be a spot available next month, if you want to reserve it for one month or several.  Let Kirk or Carmen know.  $40 a month lets you fill as much as you can 4′ wide by 5″tall.  You arrange and hang as you see fit, and you can change/add/delete any time during your month.  No commissions required.

Wednesday June 1 is gallery change day.  If you haven’t reserved for several months, you need to submit your monthly gallery fee and bring in work for the month of June.  Questions?  Check with Kirk Kuenzi.

Mini Show entries are due on Wednesday June 1.  Theme is “Pet Palooza” with donations going to “Lincoln Lost and Found Pets”.  Fliers will be posted at pet places around Lincoln, so let’s get a lot of participation.  $5 to enter, as many pieces as you wish.  Remember – no larger than 9×12, these are mini pieces.

Congratulations to Gretchen Olberding for earning bragging rights for this month’s mini show “Humanitarian Sunflowers”.

Next month’s show is “Pet Polooza” and hope that we can get even more entries for this show.  We will set up donation jars with proceeds going to “Lincoln Lost and Found Pets”.   Remember, anything can be a pet……dog, cat, horse, pig, snake, bug, bird, etc. Lets get lots of entries.  Remember rules…. 9 x 12 or smaller, any media, does not have to be framed.

June:

June 1 – change day for the gallery – bring in new, change out, renew monthly fee if necessary

June 2 – deliver work to Seward Ne for the summer show – meet at north Sams lot at 9:00 if bringing work or want to ride along to help hang.  We will stop in at the Red Path Gallery when we finish.  Return to Lincoln by 2:00

June 3 – First Friday – let Kirk know if you will volunteer for the evening 5 – 8

June 8 – 11 – ANAC Convention in Broken Bow
