This will be the first of several off-site meetings….Constellation studios, located at 2055 O St.

Karen Kunc will demonstrate Printmaking, Letterpress, and give a tour of her facilities at Constellation Studios. This will give members a full understanding of what is offered and upcoming classes that are offered.  Karen will show her artwork and various samples.  Program starts at 6:30 (try to be there by 6:25) and ends at 8:30.   Any questions can be forwarded to Kathy Cartier  (Kathy@kathycartier.com) as she is the point person for this program.

Another great show is in the books.  Congratulations to Edgar Millican for Best of Show, Reida Wrenholt and Will Rennick for Merit Awards and Dennis Schmidt and Keri Kriston for Honorable Mentions.  Peoples Choice Award will be tallied at the end of the show.

13 entries were selected from our Spring Show and those entries will be picked up in early June to be transported to Fremont for the ANAC annual convention from June 12 – 15

When you pick up your work from the Spring Show on Tuesday April 30th, if your work was selected to be entered in the ANAC show, you will receive a form that needs to be filled out on this day!  No exceptions, as I need to send the forms that afternoon to ANAC.  You will need to pay the Guild $10 for each piece that you enter, so please bring your checkbooks.  Just to remind members;

Edgar – $30; Reida – $10; Will – $10; Dennis – $10; Keri – $30; Susan – $20; Donna – $10 and Pam – $10

Why this price? ANAC requires an $8 entry fee for each piece and LAG is adding $2 for each piece to cover the cost of gas for delivery and pick up.

If you haven’t contacted Pam Apley with your intentions to show in Seward, please let her know soon.  She is compiling pieces for the show and needs numbers of pieces in order to plan the show.  Some of you have filled out a sheet at the last meeting, thank you for that, but if you were not at a meeting, let her know you want to participate.  There is a $10 fee for each piece for this two-month show (June and July) that will be on display in the Red Path Gallery on the square in Seward.  Great opportunity for a lot of people to see your work.  Added incentive is you can sell you work in this gallery!  Price your work accordingly as there will be a commission charge.  Please fill out the entry form and return it and your entry fee to Pam Apley by May 15 at 3420 Woodbine Avenue, Lincoln, NE  68506 Questions?  Get hold of Pam (p.apley@icloud.com) or 402 429 6920.
