Special Holiday Sale at the Gallery, join in !! NOVEMBER 18th DEADLINE

We are gearing up for a Christmas Holiday Sale at our Gallery in Out of the Box. Starting on the Third Friday Reception in November. The sale will run from Nov. 20th to Dec. 31. Customers just mention the special code “Jingle Bells” & they will receive a 10% discount on participating artists’ original artwork. This sale will apply ONLY for Artists who sign up and want to participate in the promotion. A sign-up sheet is at Out of the Box, front desk area and in the front portion of the LAG 3 ring Blue Notebook. When you sign up please understand this promotion will apply to all of your artwork  in the gallery, not  a few selected pieces & will not apply to the 30.00 & under artwork. Deadline for signing is before 5pm November 18th. If you are unable to get to Out of the Box you can send Jane Chesnut an E-mail at chesnutj@hotmail.com by  5pm Nov. 18th & she will add your name and phone number to the LAG book list of participating artists.

Ashland Art Walk

Ashland Art Walk – Saturday, November 29   5:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Enjoy the wonderful galleries in Ashland, NE on Saturday, November 21 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. for a fascinating Ashland Art Walk.The Cooper Studio and Gallery is owned and operated by the President of the Ashland Arts Council, Kim Cooper. This gallery features a wide variety of original paintings, tiles, pottery, sculpture, photography, jewelry, ornaments and handmade cards. November 21 and 22 will be his 14th Annual Gathering in Ashland and he invites the Lincoln Artists’ Guild members to attend. The Willow Point Gallery and Museum at 1431 Silver Street features the magnificent art of painter, Gene Roncka. His art beautifully and emotionally captures Nebraska landscape and history.  The museum also features a woodland animal diorama with a huge polar bear and a soothing waterfall.  Also on display are items about Ashland’s own astronaut, Clayton Anderson, first Nebraskan in space. Angela Joy’s Art with a Heart is also in downtown Ashland and features her art and the work of Annie Dolan, Kay Apking, Michael Forsberg, Audean Johnson, Fescher/Warnica, Laurent Schkolnyk and Helen Frank. The gallery features art, photography and jewelry and provides the community with participatory artistic activities and projects as well. Glacial Till Vineyard & Winery also has an interesting collection of art that is a must to see. St. Stephens Episcopal Church built in 1872 is a Nebraska historical treasure. It is maintained by the Ashland Arts Council and is open for tours by appointment. Call Kim Cooper, President of the Ashland Arts Council at 402-944-2022 to arrange a tour of this beautiful church.  So, consider Saturday, November 29th a good time to travel to nearby-by Ashland and enjoy the art.
