Welcome to our newest members of the Lincoln Artists’ Guild. Jan Garvin, who has work already in our gallery, works in mixed media, and Lee Schon is a jewelry and blacksmith artist. Dennis Schmidt is a new member just starting out in his artistic endeavor and works with pencil. Showing in our previous Fall Show is new member Kevin Slaby who works in oils. Rejoining the Guild are Debbie Martin, Donna Justin and Alex Fischer. If I missed anyone I apologize. That puts our active members at 48. We are a growing club again. If you know of someone who is thinking of joining the Guild, encourage them to do so soon, as the dues will be increasing in the new year.

Season’s Greetings
Hope that everyone had a pleasant Thanksgiving. We have been working hard to get the gallery open and making plans for the Lincoln Artists’ Guild’s new year. We will forgo the Christmas Party that we usually have in January, but just wait till next year!!!!! Lynette Fast is gearing up for our 2021 monthly programs, so if you have any suggestions, just let her know. All programs will be presented at our new gallery as we have access to a large (so we can spread out) room next to the Focus Gallery, you just may need to bring your own chair for the first couple of months.

Joyce Jacobs has some fabric that she would like to make into cloth bags to carry art with. If you would like a bag or two, let her know what size you need and she will make you some. (call her – 402 540 3471). These will be free, so thank you Joyce. She also has an extra water color palette tray and a wet box for Acrylics that she would like to give away to someone. Call her on that also. Carmen

Fall Show
Finally………we get a show. Covid can’t keep us down forever, even though we will still be practicing safety precautions. Please bring your pieces on Thursday October 1st from 11 a.m. till 2:00, and wear a mask please. If you can at all possible get forms (see bottom of this newsletter) into Ethel or Carmen ASAP. If you wait too long they may get tied up in the mail and we will have no info when you arrive. You can bring forms and money that day, but slows everything down when checking in. Remember, no claw hooks, must have wire hanger. There is no size limit for this show. Make sure you also have your information on the back of your piece in case of form mixup – name, title and price. You may bring up to three pieces. 2 for $20 or 3 for $25. Judge for this year’s show is Wesleyan instructor David Gracie. Any questions, you can call or text me at 402 641 6233. Carmen Sitneman
