June Meeting

A comment was made earlier, that members wished there was more time to talk to fellow artists at our meetings. Well……..due to Carmen’s lack of flora knowledge, we will NOT be meeting at the Sunken Gardens on Tuesday June 11th.  There is nothing grown up yet to paint, draw or photograph.  We will instead have a social gathering that night at my home for burgers and brats.  Nothing fancy, but a chance for everyone to relax and get to know each other a little better.  We have several new members and this will be a great time to get to know them and let them know all about us and the Guild.  If you know of someone who is interested in joining, bring them along. Members, bring your spouse or significant other and join John and I. We are planning to be outside, so if you want to bring a lawn chair, that would be nice, and bring your own drinks. Time?  Any time after 6. If it rains…..I think we can still squeeze everyone inside.

My address is 3300 SW 80th Circle.  We are four miles west of Pioneer Park on west van Dorn street.  Turn off van Dorn at 80th St. and go six houses south and we are on the corner, with the big barn quilt over the shop door.  You can park in the driveways, and the street.  There is a walking trail around our small lake if you choose to bring walking shoes and take an after dinner walk.

If you would be so kind as to RSVP by Saturday June 8th, that would be most helpful.  cmstine at hotmail.com or text to 402 641 6233

ANAC Pickup

ANAC Pickup will be Sunday June 9th at 2:00 in the southwest corner of Michaels on north 48th st.  I will have my red pickup and hopefully parked under the tree.  I hope that the Sunday pickup allows those non-retired people to pass their work off to me and not have to find some way to leave work.  If you are not going to bring your work, please let me know so I don’t sit around and wait for someone who is not coming.  If you so decide to bring your work to our meeting at my home on Tuesday the 11th, that is fine too, just let me know you won’t be coming on Sunday.  Edgar, Reida, Will, Dennis, Keri, Susan, Donna and Pam.  Maybe we won’t even have to meet Sunday if all of you are coming to my house.

Anyone that is interested in riding along Wednesday to hang the show in Fremont, let me know.  I think Kathy is coming with me, and Edgar will be there already.  I have room for three more if you want to ride along.  You will get a chance to see much of the other work, meet some really nice people and help out with the hanging.  We could be there by 10, and maybe grab lunch somewhere before returning to Lincoln.

Oh, I heard via the grapevine at my workshop, the ANAC convention next year will be in North Platte.
