ANAC Conference LAG Results

This year’s ANAC conference in Columbus was wonderful! Lisa Ober judged over 300 pieces of art and selected 25 to travel around the state. Next year our 2016 conference will be held in McCook, NE, June 8-13. We hope to see you there!
The Lincoln Artists’ Guild had three award winners this year:
Award of Excellence (travel show) – “Day Dreamer” by Jude Martindale
Joy Long Pastel Award – “Sandhills Spring” by Sue Thelen
Honorable Mention – “Rocca Granary Sunrise” by R.L. Pardy

Jude Martindale also achieved the “Signature Award.” To receive this prestigious award, she had to receive at least five Award of Excellence awards over time! That is quite an accomplishment!!
Julie Lemons received the Gwen McKenzie Scholarship to use towards an art workshop or class to increase her skills in art. The Association of Nebraska Art Clubs is unique in that it is the only club in the United States that supports all the art clubs in the state. We host a conference every year where we invite a nationally known artist to judge work from all over the state. The top 25 pieces travel the state and are displayed throughout the year. Check out the website to see if you know any of the other award winners.
