The Lincoln Artists’ Guild ANAC show will be hung March 2, 2015 at Out of the Box. This is the pre-ANAC show. It will be judged. The date for judging has not been determined at this time. Work can be delivered the Saturday or Sunday before the 2nd of March. If you have not followed all the rules, your piece will not be hung.
Remember: A maximum of two art pieces may be exhibited by each person.
Following the rules will insure that your work will be seen by the judge.
- Entries: All works must not have been shown previously in an ANAC exhibit.
- Two-dimensional work shall not exceed 40 inches wide by 40 inches high. The 40 inches include the frame. All work must be properly framed and ready for hanging (using screw eyes and wire only). Framed artwork can be entered using glass in our show, but if accepted in the State ANAC show, all sizes of art work must be framed using Plexiglas (except pastels). Gallery wrapped canvas is acceptable without a frame, but the canvas must be painted around the sides. Edges must be wrapped and no staples can show on the sides.
- Three-dimensional work (free standing or relief on the wall) shall not exceed 36” in any direction. It shall not exceed 75 pounds in weight. The 75 pounds includes the weight of the packing box if chosen at the ANAC State show. All 3-D artists must provide a pedestal (if needed).
- A $5.00 entry fee shall be paid for each piece of art. If your piece is chosen to go to the State ANAC show, you will need to pay an additional $5.00 for the ANAC fee and $2.00 for each piece for delivery to and hanging at the ANAC Show.
- Work must be dry.
- Work must have been completed in the last two years.
- Work must be original. Copies of other artwork or from copyrighted photos are not eligible.
- No work may be removed from a show in progress.
- All work must be properly identified on the back of the piece (artist name, phone, title of work, media, sale price, and size of piece. (make sure this is securely fastened to the back of the piece)
The show chairs have the right to refuse artwork that is not prepared for the show properly. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Feb. meeting.
