All you have to do to participate is contact Lincoln Arts Events Manager, Alexandra McCracken, via email at alexandra@artscene.org. From there, you will receive a blank 16 x 20 canvas on which you will create your interpretation of this year’s Mayor’s Arts Awards theme, and then return their completed piece to the Lincoln Arts office (located at 211 N 14th Street, on the third floor of The Foundry) by October 15th. Received artwork will be promoted by Lincoln Arts and become available for purchase online prior to the awards ceremony. Plus, all proceeds will go toward arts programming right here in Lincoln! Bonus? Participating artists will be able to purchase a discounted ticket to Mayor’s Arts Awards on October 28th at The Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts.
